American Sign Language for Beginners

Have you always wanted (or NEEDED) to learn American Sign Language? Learn beginning signs and basic grammar, and establish a strong foundation for the visual and gestural elements of the language. There will also be a strong emphasis on Deaf culture and discussion of common misconceptions about the language and the culture. The instructor works as an interpreter, family advisor, and communications facilitator for deaf children and families.

Enjoying Wine 101

Take a journey through the wonderful world of wine! Learn about and experience wines from a different region each week: France, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Chile, and the good old USA! The first hour of class takes place in the classroom - learning about the region and winemaking process.

The second hour takes place at the store to sample several different varietals and explore the complex flavors. Delicious cheeses, crackers and other hors d’oeuvres are available to cleanse your palette.

Instructor: Laura Fix, 12 hours.
