All students are provided with an email when they are accepted to UM-Helena. Student email accounts can be accessed from any location via the internet at http://umhelena.edu/mail  or http://outlook.com

Microsoft Live@edu student email features

• Online/web applications for Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• 10 Gigabytes of storage space for your email.
• Microsoft Sky Drive, 25 Gigabytes of online storage accessible from any internet connected computer.

Student email addresses correspond to firstname.lastname@mail.umhelena.edu and the initial password for account access is each student’s identification number.  If a student changes his or her network password their email password will also change to the new password.  Students should check their email accounts regularly for important college communications including the weekly campus bulletin. In most cases email accounts allow forwarding so that students can have their student emails forwarded to their personal email accounts.

Login Instructions:

• At the Outlook Live login page enter firstname.lastname@mail.umhelena.edu
• Your password will start as your student ID number.

If you change your netwok password (access the computers on campus) the password for your email will also change.
