Collections

Loan Periods and Renewals
All materials are loaned for two weeks and may be renewed online, by phone or in person if not on hold by another person.

Holds
If an item you want is checked out, you can place a hold through the online catalog to receive the item when it is returned.

Borrowing Guidelines
Consult the following guidelines for borrowing by students, faculty & staff, or community members.

Resources in Alternative Formats
For students with documented disabilities, resources can be requested in alternative formats, such as large print, Braille, and audiotape.

Services

Off-Campus access to databases
All research databases can be accessed from off-campus. To login, use your student ID number.

Chat Reference
Ask UMH Library is a chat service available to students, faculty and staff for research help. For more information, view our chat guidelines.

Interlibrary Loans
The Library will borrow books, videos, and magazine articles from other libraries for your use. For more details, see instructions.

Course Reserves
Borrow books, DVDs, journal articles or other materials that your instructor has placed on short term loan for use by students in their class.

Distance Learners
Distance learners have access to all electronic resources by using their ID number as a login. Books and other materials from the collection will be mailed upon request. email: library@umh.umt.edu


Space

Maps and Directions
The library is on the Donaldson campus, just east of the main entrance. See floorplan.

Rooms and Spaces
Study carrels, tables and reading chairs are provided in a quiet, light filled area. A study room with whiteboard and display monitor is available for groups to reserve.

Printers and Copiers
All library computers are connected to a networked printer.  There is also wireless printing available, which allows printing from laptops. Printing can be done in color for a fee of $.25 per page.  A photocopier is also available at $.05 per copy.

Paper Processing
Staplers, hole punchers, tape, paper cutters, paperclips, and whiteout are available for assembling reports and papers.
